The Heart of Darkness is the debut album from Hoodlum Priest. The album had little success, featuring the debut and only appearance of rapper Sevier, who left the band after Derek due to creative differences. During some time after the release of The Heart Of Darkness, ZZT was bought out by Warner Bros, and the album deleted almost immediately upon its release by request of Warner Bros's Legal Department.[1] the album was later re-released on the hoodlum priest website on the 06/06/06. The cover art features a picture of an eyeless tunisian, the original quoted by Derek was supposed to be a picture of a helicopter gunship full of cardinals from Rome over South America, but the photographer refused its usuage. [2] a remix of Caucasian entitled Scanning appeared on the follow-up Beneath The Pavement... The Beach.
